Ordinance Taxpayers of Cape May Oppose Unfair Recycling
Ordinance
The Taxpayers Association of Cape May believes that
businesses and residents should be treated equally when
it comes "
to city services. The new ordinance set for a vote
on Tuesday, April 15 (5pm City Hall) would allow the
city to collect up to four
(4) 96-gallon recycling containers from businesses but
only one (1) 96-gallon container from residents.
Currently,
the city Ordinance does not permit recycling pickup for
businesses. The proposed ordinance would approve this
practice granting businesses up to four times the
service residents receive.
